can vitamin B complex cause your pulse rate to go very low?

My pulse rate had fluctuated – sometimes it was very low (40 bpm). I had a halter monitor put on and the cardiologist said my heart was fine. The last few days my heart rate has been consistently low. 38, 39 or 40. I feel fine and have another appt with the cardiologist in 2 weeks. He said if I have any other symptons, he would have another dr see me. But I have no other symptons. My daughter reminded me that I started taking Vitamin B complex – could this possibly cause a low pulse rate. A year ago I stopped taking high bloood pressure medicine as it was making me nauseous and very tired. When I stopped the medicine, I was fine. Could my body be just very sensitive to certain medicines or vitamins. Any advice or help would be appreciated

Heart rate very fast on getting up from sitting to standing?

I am obese and have been working hard to get off the kilos. Just got a heart rate monitor and notice my pulse rate goes from 80-90 to around 130-150. My resting heart rate when relaxed( i can be nervous) is around 70-80. Is this normal?? I understand the 400lbs i am carrying means its a challenge to get up but my heart rate only gets to 160-180(heart rate training) during exercise and drops by as much as 35-40 after the first minute. My ecg(i had one before starting a program under drs orders) was very good and he said my heart is fine. Very confused.

Ps- my heart rate drops back to under 100 within a few mins if i sit down after it reaches 150 on standing.

Only people who have had similar or are in medical fields please reply… no text book answers thanks.

pulse rate jumps from mid 80s to 200+?

I am 28 years old 6′2", 190lbs non smoker very low drinker. For around 2 weeks now I have been experiencing dizziness and fainting. At random points, not linked to exercise or stress, my field of vision closes in and I feel dizzy and faint, and have lost consciousness briefly twice. I have been referred for a 24hr ECG trace but have to wait 7weeks. In the mean time I have been wearing a heart rate monitor (the type you use in the gym) which shows that when an episode occurs my pulse jumps from the mid 80’s to over 200.

Can anyone suggest a likely cause/course of action?

          Should I Fire my doctors?

Me and my hubby are ttc , but my doctor keeps stalling us .. I have been in and out of cardiologist offices, about three months ago I went to get my normal annual check up, they were taking my pulse and the nurse tells me I have an irregular pulse rate… Freaked me out… So I was sent for an emergency EKG, the results came back a week later saying that abnormalities were spotted. So they hooked me up with a holter monitor for 48 hours, well I guess that came out bad too because last week I was sent for another EKG, Echo Stress Test . I have an appointment for a very invasive procedure… These people want to put s catheter through my groin area all the way to the heart… I was not told of this procedure until I got a call from cardiology rescheduling my appoinment I was shocked due to the fact no one called me and told me I had this crap to be done .. I feel like as the patient I should be aware of what their plans are… They’re always saying it’s a simple procedure( after I drove to the hospital to get the next appointment date) i always think of course it’s simple for you , your not the one they’re talking about causing a heart attack on purpose… My question is should I have this procedure when their not even sure what’s wrong with my heart? I’m 25, their youngest cardiologist patient .. My dactor keeps telling me to wait until they get to the bottom of my heart problem… I refuse to wait, I’m still ttc, my husband is scared, I’m not… I feel like they are stalling for some reason… I was thinking about changing doctors but these people are supposed to be the best… I feel I can still do whatever heart test they want while at the same time have a baby…. Do you think I’m paranoid?

What's wrong with my blood pressure?

I went to the doctors a year ago for an unrelated issue and after an exam he said I had high blood pressure and I had to monitor it. It was 140/90.

I’m 19 5"8 and 125 lbs. He then said to come back and test it again. It was low. :| then he brushed it off as anxiety.

Now everytime I go to the drugstore my blood pressure is always high so is my pulse rate but when I check it at home its low… 117/70 ish and my pulse is around the 60 mark.

My dentist even said my blood pressure was too high tho to do any dental work. He said I had to go to the doctors before I came back. My doctor then said the same thing as before it got high again and then got low…

What’s wrong with me? How can my blood pressure change so much?
            Go from 140/90 to 110/60 … in a matter of minutes…

I do suffer from panic attacks and find it hard to go out in public sometimes…would that make the difference?
AND Everytime its high it’s either at the store or at the doctors…never at home.
Maybe the monitor I have is bad?
My doctor scares me a lot. Said he wanted to do an ultrasound on my kidneys because it was so high. Then said how I could be having heart problems etc…really didn’t help my anxiety issues.

Is it possible to train too hard when doing my tempo run?

Hi. I’m a 34yr old male who has always been active and fit, classic ectomorph. I recently purchased a heart rate monitor for training purposes and my beats per minute after a tempo run makes me wonder if I could be over doing it, or if I’m just very fit and on the right track. I’m on a 16 week 1/2 marathon program from runners world that includes running three times a week; easy, speed, long. When I do my tempo runs I really push myself to achieve the stated goals. My effort level would be about an 8 out of 10, Yes/No questions I could answer, no conversation. After the run I feel euphoric and great, and within a minute or so my heart rate is back to a normal level. Then next day I feel fine. My resting pulse is around 44 beats per minute (bpm). My goal is to eventually qualify for the Boston marathon.

              Thanks for any input.

Here are my mile splits from the last run.
Mile Minutes Avg bpm Max bpm
              1 00:07:10 174 183
              2 00:07:13 185 190
              3 00:07:16 191 192
              4 00:07:11 195 198
              Summary 00:28:50 186 198
comfortably finished my 1st marathon in a 9:15 pace a few years ago. Could easily cover 13.1m in a 8:30 pace today. Goal is to get faster without causing damage.

SP02 finger monitor tester giving false readings with Oximeter?

                Hi
I just brought a finger Pulse Oximeter & Heart Rate Monitor, the Sp02 reading on me clicks around
                96-98% which is fine.

But if I hold my breather for as long as possible say 1 min 30 sec’s or breathe in and out of a plastic bag for couple of min’s with no new air coming in the bag, the meter still reads 96-98%.

Surly it should start to drop as the o2 in my blood will be severely reduced?

Brought for sleep apnea but with the above tests cant see it being any good?

                Your thought, Cheers

WHY IS GOING ON WITH MY HEART?!?HELP.?

Okay i just got released from the hospital today after being in for about 2 days. for food poisin and high pulse rate. They would have discharge me if it was only the food poison thing but i have this thing with my heart that just started happening 6 months ago when every once in a while my pulse elevates. But when i went in to the Emergency on sunday my pulse with the food poison was 200…so they had to keep me in to monitor my heart. and in the END AGAIN!!..they still dont know whats going on. it gets really annoying because overall im healthy they have done a bunch of test on me last time i was admitted and still they cant figure out what triggers my heart to beat so fast. They just told me it might be a ongoing health condition but not life threatening. ARE THEY RETARTED. OR em i stupid enuff to wait till i have more of these episodes and in the long run develope perminent damage to my heart and then i have a fucking weaken heart, right?.well anyways pray for me because im going to the extreme and go to stanford in a couple of days to see if they can figure it out. They have done blood test/echo/stress test/tredmill/x-ray/ekg/holter/.what more can i do?
