Accurate Heart Rate Monitor watch needed!!?

Can someone please provide a link or info to a heart rate monitor watch that calculates steps, calories and heart rate with entering in your height and weight? I have a Sportline watch that I bought at Walmart for 0 that doesnt require me entering in my height and weight and I am a little uncertain about the accuracy of the calories burned reading. It uses pulse technology.

Calculating heart rate and calories accurately without a chest strap is next to impossible. I test dozens of heart rate monitors every year and we have eliminated most all of the strapless variety from our website for this reason.

The most accurate monitors we have found for counting calories are Polar heart rate monitors, although Garmin and Suunto use similar formulas.

Your height and weight are, unfortunately, necessary parts of the equation for caloric burn rate.

Adding steps, or distance, to the equation requires accelerometer technology, generally in the form of a foot pod that fits in your shoe or in your shoe laces. You can get a Garmin FR60 with a soft chest strap and a foot pod at the link provided with the answer.

You could also get a Garmin 110 GPS watch that would do everything but steps, it would get distance, but not steps, but the cool part is you can map everything and everywhere you go.

      Hope that helps.
