WHY IS GOING ON WITH MY HEART?!?HELP.?
Okay i just got released from the hospital today after being in for about 2 days. for food poisin and high pulse rate. They would have discharge me if it was only the food poison thing but i have this thing with my heart that just started happening 6 months ago when every once in a while my pulse elevates. But when i went in to the Emergency on sunday my pulse with the food poison was 200…so they had to keep me in to monitor my heart. and in the END AGAIN!!..they still dont know whats going on. it gets really annoying because overall im healthy they have done a bunch of test on me last time i was admitted and still they cant figure out what triggers my heart to beat so fast. They just told me it might be a ongoing health condition but not life threatening. ARE THEY RETARTED. OR em i stupid enuff to wait till i have more of these episodes and in the long run develope perminent damage to my heart and then i have a fucking weaken heart, right?.well anyways pray for me because im going to the extreme and go to stanford in a couple of days to see if they can figure it out. They have done blood test/echo/stress test/tredmill/x-ray/ekg/holter/.what more can i do?
the heart is a very strong muscle, it would take literally decades of continuous tachycardia to weaken that muscle. But, I will wager they tell you that if you exercise (doing cardio) on a daily basis, your heart will be fine. Paroxysmal tachycardia is what is known as an "idiopathic" condition, meaning they don’t always know why it happens. But what they do know is that people live long and healthy lives with that condition as long as they take good care of themselves.
I think it’s a good idea to get all the testing done, if only for your own peace of mind… but be aware, the best doctors in the world do NOT have all the answers all the time.
