Should I Fire my doctors?
Me and my hubby are ttc , but my doctor keeps stalling us .. I have been in and out of cardiologist offices, about three months ago I went to get my normal annual check up, they were taking my pulse and the nurse tells me I have an irregular pulse rate… Freaked me out… So I was sent for an emergency EKG, the results came back a week later saying that abnormalities were spotted. So they hooked me up with a holter monitor for 48 hours, well I guess that came out bad too because last week I was sent for another EKG, Echo Stress Test . I have an appointment for a very invasive procedure… These people want to put s catheter through my groin area all the way to the heart… I was not told of this procedure until I got a call from cardiology rescheduling my appoinment I was shocked due to the fact no one called me and told me I had this crap to be done .. I feel like as the patient I should be aware of what their plans are… They’re always saying it’s a simple procedure( after I drove to the hospital to get the next appointment date) i always think of course it’s simple for you , your not the one they’re talking about causing a heart attack on purpose… My question is should I have this procedure when their not even sure what’s wrong with my heart? I’m 25, their youngest cardiologist patient .. My dactor keeps telling me to wait until they get to the bottom of my heart problem… I refuse to wait, I’m still ttc, my husband is scared, I’m not… I feel like they are stalling for some reason… I was thinking about changing doctors but these people are supposed to be the best… I feel I can still do whatever heart test they want while at the same time have a baby…. Do you think I’m paranoid?

What is getting an EKG (electrocardiogram) like / How will having anxiety during the test affect the results?
For those of you who have had it done, what it is like? How long does it take? How long is it until you know the results?
Part 2 of the question: how will having a lot of anxiety/nervousness/stress while the EKG is being performed affect the results of the test?
I’m a 20 year old male and have been experiencing a pounding heart, highly elevated heart rate, palpitations, fast pulse and so on and my doctors all attribute it to anxiety/panic attacks (which I am known to have frequently) but just to be sure I’ll be given an EKG later this week. What I’m concerned about though is that the simple knowledge that I am being hooked up to something that specifically monitors my heart will make me much more conscious of it, thus raising my anxiety and also raising my heart rate a large amount and potentially causing other problems that might be worrying in a situation of anxiety like that but would go away once I was back home and felt relaxed again.
For example, I have a heart rate/BP monitor here at home and on the morning of a doctor’s appointment before I left I used it and got a reading of 125/79 with a HR of 93bpm. I then stopped at a pharmacy on the way in to do a double check using a different machine they had there and it was 130/81 with a HR of 97. Then when I was at the doctor’s office he hooked me up to a thing that beeped in tune with my heart rate and I was very nervous about it and my reading there ended up being 155/92 with a HR of 138bpm. An hour or two later I tried again using my own BP/HR monitor when I got back home and got a reading of 122/78 with a HR of 87bpm. So I’m worried that they’ll think I have something I don’t because of how my anxiety affects my heart rate in those situations. Either that or the opposite: they’ll blame the anxiety I had during the test as the reason for any abnormalities when in fact there may be something wrong regardless of the anxiety. How likely are either one of these scenarios to happen? If it turns out there is or is not a problem, will the EKG show that no matter what my current BP/HR at the time is?
The more info (from people experienced in this field, preferably) I could get on this stuff the better.
Thanks!

Has anyone had to wear a fetal monitor?
I am 20 weeks pregnant with quadruplets, and I was wondering if anyone has any information about fetal monitors?
I am having two boys and two girls:
Baby A: Alexis Paige is 13 oz
Baby B: Brennan Matthew is 13 oz
Baby C: Cooper Andrew is 14 oz
Baby D: Delaney Claire is 12 oz
Today at my 20 week appointment, Delaney’s heart rate was low, so they said tomorrow they are going to give me a fetal monitor. Are they uncomfortable? How exactly do you send the information in every day? They said they would explain it better at my appointment tomorrow, but I was just wondering…
And also, can you help me with names for the quads:

I rented a fetal heart monitor but cannot hear the heart beat?
I am 13 weeks pregnant and at my 9 week scan all was well and I am due again on this friday. I had rented a fetal heart monitor and received it today and listened for the fetal heartbeat but could not find it after 15 mins and searched two seperate times. I rented one before when I had my son and I could hear it but I can not remember how far along I was. I have not had any bleeding or spotting and if I had any cramping it was very light. I am just guessing it is still too early to hear with the at home monitor as I am not a professional and it is a very basic monitor. Anyway I am going to wait for my appointment on friday to see my doctor as planned but I was just looking to see if anyone has tried these and had such problem or maybe just some enlightening advice. I am still slight nauseous as I was before and having lower back pain so I am also taking that as a good sign that I am still having pregnancy symptoms.
To my first commenter I was able to use this device fine with my first pregnancy so I would not dixcourage it at all and it was 25 dollars to rent for a month to me not a lot of money so it definatly was not a waste. k thanks
