Accurate Heart Rate Monitor watch needed!!?
Can someone please provide a link or info to a heart rate monitor watch that calculates steps, calories and heart rate with entering in your height and weight? I have a Sportline watch that I bought at Walmart for 0 that doesnt require me entering in my height and weight and I am a little uncertain about the accuracy of the calories burned reading. It uses pulse technology.

Are the heart rate monitors on cardio machines accurate?
When I work out on an a elliptical trainer, it rarely says that I’ve reached my target heart rate. I’m a female, 5′7" and weigh 170 pounds. Sometimes it will say my heart rate is 60, but my heart is beating way faster than that! When I take my own pulse, it’s about 180. Are the cardio machines right?
Also, are the "calories burned" on cardio machines pretty accurate?

What does my blood pressure indicate about my health… 104/53, pulse rate 46 bpm?
I am a 17 year old girl…
I have suffered from an eating disorder over he past few years which at different times included excessive self-induced vomiting up to 10 times a day, also at other times I would restrict for months at a time eating no more than 350 calories a day. I never became underweight, when the illness started I was obese because of a medication I was on…
I am now eating healthy, no longer vomiting or exercising excessively, but I am still getting help.
But I get orthostatic hypotension, light headedness, tired all the time, plus my hands and feet are always cold sometimes turning blue and purple…
Basically I purchased an Omron blood pressure monitor recently which came highly recommended as being accurate.
But before I got this I had been monitoring my pulse, and when I told my doctor it was dropping below 50 she did not seem at all concerned.
But could this be a problem?
Could I have done damage?
If so what could be wrong?
I will go to the doctors to get this checked out as soon as possible, but I just really want to have some idea of what it could be that is causing this?

Running with a heart rate monitor- HELP?
I just finished my morning workout (treadmill power walk/jogg for 65 mins). The treadmill showed that I burned 349 calories and my HRM (Polar F11) showed 620 calories. Is my HRM off or the treadmill counter is off. I made sure the settings on my watch are correct. I am a female, 5′ 5”, and 144 lbs. Any suggestions??

Why do Heart Rate Monitors show lower calories burned then the cardio machines?
I recently incorporated the use of a Polar Heart Rate Monitor into my exercise routine. I work out 6 days a week. 5 days consist of 45 minutes of cardio and another 45 minutes of weight training and the 6th day is just the 45 minutes of cardio. On day 7 I rest.
I always love watching the calorie counters on my favorite cardio machines such as the eliptical bikes and cross trainers … they tend to tell me I burn much more calories in a 45 minutes session (about 575 to 600). A treadmill says I burn about 350 to 400 in the same time.
When I started using the heart rate monitor I noticed the calories burned on the HR monitor showed lower ranges on the eliptical bike & cross trainer … about 375 for 45 minutes verses what the machine said (575-600). As for the treadmill, the HR monitor was closer in range to the machine.
I’m wondering which one is more accurate (the HR monitor or the machine?) Both devices make you imput your age and weight … so why are they so different?

What is the best heart rate monitor out there for calories?
Hello All,
I’m a 25 year old woman. Doing mostly cardio – elliptical, bike, treadmill and I hate the machines at the gym because I never feel like I get an accurate count for my calories. So I’m looking for a good heart rate monitor – not too expensive or bulky – but accurate. Let me know if you have first hand experiences with ones – thanks!

heart rate monitor I need help with calorie counter on treadmill?
Ok so I hav ea heart rate monitor the one where it comes with a watch and a little belt thing to go around your chest. Its no any kind of name brand I bought it from Fred Meyer’s it was like 30$ or something. so I don’t know how accurate it is. I am 23 5′4" and weigh 140 lbs. my bmi is 24.1 fat percentage is 36 ish. thoes are just off a website so ? well when I wore the heart rate monitor I jogged at 4.5mph on treamill for 25 min. whith a 4 min warmup walk. the treamill counter said I burned 300 calories but my heart monitor said I burned 500 cal…thats a big difference. Which one is more accurate and why ??
my husband says to just use the lower one to know for sure I’m burning enough but I just want to know what is most accurate..cause 200 cal, thats alot.
my treadmill doesn’t have an age or weight input. its older I guess I bought it from the calssifieds.
But my heart monitor does.
