Special relativity question. Speed of light is now 30m/s instead of 3×10^8m/s?
While wearing an electronic heart monitor, you sprint around a circular track at a speed of 10 m/s. You observe a pulse rate of 100 beats/min but your coach, resting at the centre of the stadium, records a different rate. What is the difference?

Event monitors false?
Can a cardiac event monitor show false bradycardia? It shows the pulse rate on the machine, and everytime id look, it would be like 40s-50’s and even 30s upon waking. Can those machines show false bradycardia?
It may be true, however I was admitted to the hospital and had no bradycardia for seven days. It went to 54 once, and I was half asleep.

New Exercise Bike with [possible] Screwy Meter Readings?
My boyfriend and I recently got an exercise bike. We like it alright, though the resistance isn’t THAT great.
regardless, it has a pulse monitor on it. I saw that the first time i used it my pulse hit like 165.
the 3rd time my pulse went to 230 something.
my boyfriend used it and his did the same thing.
We’re questioning it’s accuracy. My friend said that once your pulse hits a certain point you lose aerobic efficiency.
My question is, does the bike sound like it’s reading accurately?
If it is, does that mean i’m losing aerobic efficiency?
How do you avoid having your pulse rate go that high?
is it dangerous to our health?

Should I get another opinion?
I am a 28 yr old male. I’m not in very good shape and Im overweight. I also have had high blood pressure for about 8 yrs., 145/80 on average. I recently went to a cardiologist for palpitations.
He did a 24 hr holter monitor and seen i had on average 1 PVC per minute (1300 somethin he said) in 24 hrs.
He said that i shouldnt worry about them as long as they dont occur in groups. He also did a echocardiogram and said my right atrium was just a little large, again; he said nothing to worry about. He then did a stress test. My pulse rate got as high as 158. He said he saw a few PVC’s during that but not enough to worry. So anyways, he said I should just keep taking my atenolol 50mg bid and to not worry. He said to call him if I begin to get PVC’s in groups of 3 or more or have any chest pain. What do you think of this opinion, should I relax and just listen to him?

I'm Thinking Of Investing In A Cycle…?
The stationary type. So what do I look for when I buy one (apart from the price). I need something that monitors heart rate OR pulse rate, BUT what else should I be looking for??
Do we get folding cycles out there for storage? (coz space is a bit of an issue)…

Is my heart rate something to worry about?
I am 16 years old, and last night I used our home blood pressure monitor just out of curiosity. My blood pressure showed up to be 111/75, which I’m aware is in the normal range and nothing to worry about. My concern has to do with the fact that on that reading my pulse came up as 120 beats per minute. I sat for about five minutes and tried it again. My blood pressure was 109/60, with a pulse of 116. I tried it again tonight and my result was 119/79 with a pulse rate of 107. I had been sitting quietly for about ten minutes before, and was not worried about anything. I know that my blood pressure is in a perfectly normal and acceptable range, but is my heart rate something I should be concerned about?

anger management question?
ok so i have this stupid problem with controlling my temper.if something annoys me i explode like a bomb. i start yelling at the top of my voice and the person standing in front of me gets scared. but my temper z very short termed and as soon as i am over with yelling i realize my mistake and then beg for forgiveness. this all happens in 5 minutes. the biggest problem here is that i don’t see it coming. i never mean to yell. after the yelling episode is over i realize i wouldn’t have shouted if i had known i was going to shout. its silly i know but that’s what i feel. so i was thinking about something some device or anything which would warn me when i was building up. is there any way?? the movie hulk came to my mind. that guy uses a pulse rate monitoring wrist band which beeps if the pulse rate is going up. is there a device like that available?? because i have never seen one. and what do you think will that help me?? and also does every body’s heart beats faster when they are becoming angry?? because it will be of no good if i buy that thing and find out that my heart rate does not increase before yelling bt when i am doing so or when i am finished!! help in anyway is welcome. thanks

Circuit of the portable digital blood pressure monitor ?
I am using HICKS portable digital blood pressure monitor.
It has power input rating 6 V. I mistakenly put an adapter pin of 12 V, and I see a smoke coming out off it and it turned off. When I check the circuit, I found that some diode like or fuse like structure about 10 mm^2 area which is rectangular in shape has burned. I think it is a fuse and I join the two track which was it is connected with the help of a wire, I doesn’t turn on and it starts to become hot.
The monitor also gives the information of the Systolic – Diastolic pressure, BP – 102 and Pulse rate.
Please tell me that which is the part which has burned so I can replace it.
